The village and civil parish of Little Somerford sits in north Wiltshire, England, a compact rural settlement on the banks of the River Avon and close to its larger neighbour Great Somerford. It occupies gently undulating farmland on the southern edge of the Cotswolds and lies within easy reach of market towns such as Chippenham and Malmesbury.
Historically agricultural, the parish retains a number of historic houses and a small parish church reflecting medieval and later rebuilding, and the landscape is characterised by water meadows, hedgerows and quiet lanes. Today it is a small, close-knit community with a largely residential character; many residents work locally in farming or commute to nearby towns, while the surrounding countryside draws walkers and birdwatchers looking for a peaceful rural experience.
