Pinkneys Green is a mostly residential ward on the edge of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, a short distance west of Maidenhead. The area centres on the eponymous common - a stretch of heath, woodland and open space - and enjoys close proximity to the River Thames and Windsor Great Park, making it popular with walkers, riders and families.
Despite its place in the London commuter belt, Pinkneys Green retains a strong village identity: housing is a mix of suburban homes and village cottages and the community is active around schools, the village hall and a handful of traditional pubs. There are historic associations with the medieval Pinkney family and the ward’s greenbelt and conservation character strongly influence local planning, giving it a leafy, semi‑rural feel while remaining well connected to nearby centres.
