Bebington sits on the eastern side of the Wirral peninsula in England, close to the banks of the Mersey and a short rail journey from Liverpool and Chester. The ward is largely suburban, with a mix of Victorian and Edwardian housing, local shopping parades and good transport links that make it a popular commuter area.
Its growth in the 19th century was tied to improved transport and local quarrying around Storeton, whose sandstone was used in nearby towns, and there are still green spaces such as Storeton Woods and small parks that give parts of the ward a leafy feel. Community life is centred on local schools, clubs and events, and the nearby model village at Port Sunlight adds a notable dose of industrial and cultural heritage to the area.
