Badsey is a sizeable village in the district of Wychavon, in rural Worcestershire, England, sitting on the fertile floodplain of the Vale of Evesham just a few miles from Evesham. Its flat, rich soils made it a centre for market gardening and soft fruit production, and the landscape still reflects that agricultural heritage with allotments, polytunnels and productive fields close to the village.
Historically the village prospered in the 19th and early 20th centuries from horticulture, leaving a neat cluster of red-brick houses and a Victorian parish church, and today it retains a strong community life with horticultural shows, village clubs and local shops. While farming remains important, many residents commute to nearby towns such as Pershore, and the village is noted for its proud local history and active community societies.
