The parish of Churchill and Blakedown sits in the district of Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, England, occupying a pleasant edge‑of‑country spot where rolling farmland and pockets of woodland meet the outer suburbs of the West Midlands. The two villages retain a very villagey feel: hedgerows, footpaths and local pubs give a strong sense of place, while greenbelt protection keeps the landscape largely rural despite good road and rail links into Birmingham and Worcester.
Blakedown grew noticeably in the nineteenth century with the arrival of the railway and still has a conservation‑area character of Victorian terraces and a village green, while Churchill keeps an older, quieter core around its parish church and farms. Today the area is a mix of commuters, small local businesses and farming, with an active community calendar, village halls and many opportunities for walking and enjoying the surrounding Worcestershire countryside.
