Blakedown is a village in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire, England, lying on the fringe of the West Midlands commuter belt. It has a compact, well‑preserved centre and a designated conservation area; the village expanded in the 19th century around a Victorian railway station on the line linking Birmingham with Kidderminster and Worcester, and benefited from nearby sandstone quarries and brickworks.
Today Blakedown is largely residential and popular with commuters, but retains village amenities such as pubs, a village hall and local groups, with a visible community spirit and occasional events. Its position close to countryside - including the Clent Hills and the wider Wyre Forest area - gives easy access to walks and outdoor recreation alongside the more suburban character.
