Lem Hill is a modest wooded rise tucked inside the eastern reaches of the Wyre Forest in northern Worcestershire, England. It sits within one of Britain’s larger ancient woodlands, with a mix of broadleaves and conifers, rides and glades that give occasional views over the tree canopy to the surrounding farmland and nearby towns.
Like much of the Wyre Forest, Lem Hill bears traces of a working past - coppicing, charcoal and timber supply to local industry - but today the area is managed for conservation and recreation by local trusts and Forestry England. It’s a popular spot for walkers, mountain bikers and naturalists, notable for spring bluebells, veteran oaks and a quiet abundance of woodland birds, deer and bats that help sustain the local rural economy through tourism and outdoor activity. Nearby communities such as Bewdley and Kidderminster benefit from visitors to the area.
