Waringstown is a compact village and electoral ward in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Northern Ireland, set on the banks of the River Lagan. It was laid out as an estate village by the Waring family in the 17th century and still retains the old manor Waringstown House and traces of a once-thriving linen and flax‑milling economy.
The settlement punches above its size culturally thanks to the well‑known Waringstown Cricket Club, a long‑standing focal point for sport and social life, and a busy calendar of local clubs and churches. These days it largely functions as a commuter settlement for nearby towns such as Lurgan and Lisburn, while retaining a tight‑knit village character and active community scene.
