Kingswells is a residential village on the western edge of Aberdeen City in Scotland, lying along the A944 towards Westhill. Perched on slightly higher ground, it offers views across Aberdeen and the Moray Firth, and grew from a small farming settlement into a commuter suburb from the 1970s onwards.
Today Kingswells is popular with families and many people working in the oil and gas sector, with local schools, shops, a community centre and good public transport links (including a park-and-ride) to the city; nearby developments such as Countesswells have increased housing and amenities while the area retains a broadly village-like atmosphere.
