Westhill is a purpose-built town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, lying a few miles west of Aberdeen. Developed from the 1960s to service the North Sea oil and gas boom, it now combines business parks and modern housing with community facilities such as Westhill Academy, a leisure centre and a busy retail park.
Economically the town hosts energy‑service and technology firms and acts as both a commuter base for Aberdeen and a local employment hub; socially it has an active community life and sports clubs. Historically the area was part of the parish of Skene and remains close to accessible countryside and walking country around Bennachie and Royal Deeside.
