Sgìre an Rubha covers the low, windswept Eye Peninsula immediately east of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in Na h-Eileanan Siar. The coastline is a mix of sandy bays, rocky skerries and tidal sounds with wide views over the Minch, making it popular for coastal walks and birdwatching.
Locally known as the Point, the ward has a strong Gaelic-speaking culture built around crofting, fishing and small‑scale weaving alongside many people who commute into Stornoway; historic church sites, standing stones and maritime remains hint at a long and layered past, while tourism and wildlife activities add to the local economy.
