Llanddaniel Fab is a small rural village on the interior of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, tucked into rolling farmland rather than the island’s coastline. It’s perhaps best known for its proximity to the Neolithic passage tomb Bryn Celli Ddu, one of Anglesey’s most important prehistoric sites, which brings archaeologists and visitors to the area and gives the local landscape a strong sense of ancient continuity.
The village retains a close‑knit, largely Welsh‑speaking community, with everyday life shaped by agriculture, small‑scale tourism and parish activities (the name itself recalls the church dedication to St Deiniol Fab). Quiet lanes, historic connections to the island’s prehistoric and medieval past, and easy access to larger market towns typify its understated rural character.
