Dolforwyn is an electoral ward in Powys, in mid-Wales, occupying a largely rural patchwork of farmland and small settlements. The ward takes its name from the nearby medieval Dolforwyn Castle, whose earthworks and ruined walls are a locally important historic landmark and a focus for walkers and local history enthusiasts.
Local life is shaped by agriculture and small-scale rural businesses, with many residents commuting to larger market towns for work and services. There is a strong sense of community, reflected in village halls and events, and a continuing presence of Welsh language and traditions alongside efforts to boost rural tourism and protect the historic and natural landscape.
