Charlcombe is a small, largely rural parish just to the north of Bath in Bath and North East Somerset, set on rolling downland and dissected by springs and little streams that eventually feed into the River Avon. Its lanes and bridleways give fine views back towards Bath and across the surrounding countryside towards the Cotswolds, making it popular with walkers and riders.
Historically agricultural, the area now combines working farms with a handful of residences for people who commute into the city, and it retains a compact, community feel centred on scattered farmsteads and a historic parish church. Proximity to Bath means residents enjoy easy access to the city’s cultural life while living in a notably tranquil, rural setting.
