Addingham is a large village and civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Bradford, West Yorkshire, tucked into the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales where the village sits by the River Wharfe. It lies on the A65 between Ilkley and Skipton, and its riverside setting and easy access to the Dales make it popular with walkers and commuters heading to Leeds and Bradford.
Historically an industrial village centred on textile mills, many of the old stone mill buildings have been converted to homes and small businesses, while a compact centre still has local shops, pubs and active community groups. Addingham’s conservation area, regular village events and proximity to attractions such as the Bolton Abbey estate give it a mix of rural character, heritage and a neighbourly social life.
