Queensbury is a village and ward on high moorland to the west of Bradford, lying close to the boundary with Calderdale and not far from Halifax in West Yorkshire. Its raised position gives unusually wide panoramas across the surrounding valleys and moors, and the settlement has the feel of a high-ridge community rather than a lowland suburb.

Queensbury expanded in the Victorian era around textile mills and an unusually complex railway layout - the old triangular junction and the long disused Queensbury Tunnel are local points of interest and the focus of heritage campaigns. Today it’s a mix of former industrial terraces, local shops and light industry with many residents commuting into nearby towns; there’s a tangible sense of industrial history alongside active community and conservation efforts.
