Drayton Parslow in Buckinghamshire is a small, predominantly rural village a short drive west of Milton Keynes, surrounded by farmland and lanes. Its position within easy commuting distance of the Milton Keynes urban area means many residents work in the local towns while the village itself retains a quiet, countryside feel with a compact core of houses and green spaces.
Historically the village has medieval roots - its name reflects an Old English origin later associated with the Parslow family - and it still shows that heritage in a number of older buildings and a traditional parish community. Local life centres on the village hall and church, occasional community events and agricultural activity, giving Drayton Parslow a close-knit, village atmosphere despite being near larger centres such as Bletchley and Milton Keynes.
