Swanbourne is a small village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, set in the rolling agricultural landscape of north Buckinghamshire. The village has a compact historic centre around its parish church and a number of 17th- and 18th-century cottages, together with a notable country house, Swanbourne House. It was once served by Swanbourne railway station on the old Oxford–Cambridge "Varsity" line, which closed in the mid 20th century, leaving the village quieter and more rural in character.
Historically rooted in farming, Swanbourne today combines agricultural activity with a commuter population who travel to nearby centres such as Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Bicester. Local life is centred on the village hall, the pub and occasional community events, and the area is valued for its quiet lanes, attractive brick and stone cottages and easy access to countryside and the Chilterns.
