Little Chalfont sits in Buckinghamshire on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, tucked between the older villages of Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter and Amersham. It grew largely in the 20th century around the local railway stop at Chalfont & Latimer station, and today feels like a leafy commuter village with surrounding woodlands, greenbelt countryside and easy rail links into London.
Locally there’s a busy little centre of shops, schools and community-run amenities - a friendly village vibe with active clubs and events - while the housing is a mix of older cottages and more recent estates. Historically the area is tied to the wider Chalfonts and rural Buckinghamshire, and economically it functions mainly as a residential base for people working in the town centres and the capital, with plenty of green space and walking country on the doorstep.
