Stewkley is a village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, set on the southern edge of the Vale of Aylesbury beneath the gentle slopes of the Chiltern Hills, a few miles south‑east of Aylesbury. Its setting mixes open farmland, historic lanes and attractive period cottages, with a medieval church and a compact village centre forming a traditional rural core.
Historically agricultural, Stewkley now combines village life - pubs, a village hall, local clubs and a cricket side - with many residents commuting to Milton Keynes and London. The community also drew wider attention when locals mobilised against a proposed major airport at nearby Cublington in the late 1960s and 1970s, and its conservation area and listed buildings give it a distinctly Buckinghamshire character.
