Redvales is an inner‑suburban ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, in Greater Manchester, sitting close to the town centre with the meanders of the River Irwell not far away. The area is characterised by a mix of Victorian terraces and later council and private housing, some pockets of green space and small clusters of local shops and parish facilities that give it a distinctly local, residential feel.
Like much of the borough it has an industrial past linked to Lancashire’s textile era, with remnants of mills and former light industry repurposed or replaced over time. Economically and socially it is a mixed community with active local groups and reasonable transport links into Bury town centre and onwards to Manchester, making it a practical spot for commuters while retaining a quiet, neighbourhood character.
