King's Hedges is an electoral ward to the north of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire, primarily residential in character with much of its housing stock dating from the 1960s and 1970s. The area has local shopping parades, community centres and allotments, good cycling routes into the city centre and convenient bus links to nearby employment hubs such as Cambridge Science Park and Cambridge North.
The ward takes its name from medieval hedges that once marked royal hunting ground and today combines a socially diverse population with ongoing regeneration and active resident groups. Its proximity to research and tech employers gives the local economy a practical, commuter-friendly feel, while community projects, schools and green spaces help keep it a lively, family-oriented neighbourhood.
