Soham South is the southern ward of the small Cambridgeshire town of Soham, within the district of East Cambridgeshire in England. It sits on the flat Fenland landscape beside the River Lark, with straightforward road links towards Ely and Cambridge, and a surrounding countryside still strongly shaped by agriculture.
Locally the ward mixes suburban housing and small business/employment sites with an active community life - village halls, sports clubs and local events are important social anchors - and benefits from nearby fenland reserves for wildlife and birdwatching. The wider Soham area has deep roots going back to Roman and Anglo‑Saxon times and today its economy is a blend of farming, local services and commuting to larger centres.
