Stretham is a small parish and village in East Cambridgeshire, set in the flat, drained fenlands of Cambridgeshire in England, beside the River Great Ouse and a short distance from Ely. The landscape is characteristically low-lying with ditches and channels, and the local economy is largely agricultural, with extensive arable fields on rich peat and silt soils.
The parish is notable for its connection to fenland drainage and engineering history, exemplified by the preserved pumping machinery at Stretham Old Engine, and retains a traditional village feel with a medieval parish church, community activities and small-scale local services that reflect rural life in the Fens.
