Witchford is a small village and civil parish in East Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, England, set on the edge of the Fens a few miles west of Ely. The landscape is low‑lying and largely agricultural, with wide skies and a pattern of arable fields and drains that defines the local character; its position also makes it a quiet commuter and market‑town hinterland for nearby centres.
Locally there is a medieval parish church, St Andrew, and the remains of the wartime airfield at RAF Witchford which is commemorated by a small memorial, giving the village a visible link to 20th‑century history. Community life centres on a village hall, sports teams and the pub, and the combination of rural economy, wartime heritage and accessible countryside makes it a typical but well‑connected Fenland community.
