Scholar Green is a small village in the civil parish of Odd Rode in Cheshire East, close to the border with Staffordshire and roughly between Congleton and Kidsgrove. Set on the Cheshire plain at the edge of the Peak District's lower hills, the village sits near transport arteries and canals - notably the Trent and Mersey Canal - which reflect a mix of rural character and local industrial heritage.
Locally notable is Rode Hall and its gardens, which help anchor a strong village identity alongside a church, village hall and traditional pubs; historically the area was agricultural with ties to the pottery and coal industries of nearby Stoke-on-Trent, but today many residents commute to larger towns while community events and estate attractions bring visitors.
