Mawnan Smith is a small village in the civil parish of Mawnan on the south Cornwall coast of Cornwall, England, a few miles from Falmouth and overlooking the sheltered creeks of the Helford River. The area is noted for its wooded valleys and mild, sheltered microclimate and sits close to well‑known coastal gardens such as Glendurgan and Trebah, with coastal footpaths and estuary views making it popular with walkers and visitors.
Historically the village grew up around several forges - hence the "Smith" in its name - and it retains a strong village identity with a church, village hall and local pub. Today the local economy blends agriculture, tourism and small businesses, with many residents commuting to nearby towns; community events and garden tourism remain important to village life.
