St. Buryan sits on the granite moorland of western Cornwall in England, a few miles west of Penzance and within easy reach of Land's End. Named for the early medieval saint Buriana, the village is centred on a large medieval parish church and framed by exposed Atlantic countryside and coastline, with the South West Coast Path nearby for walkers.
Historically the parish was one of the larger in the county and agriculture has shaped much of the local character, with stone cottages, hedged fields and a resilient rural community. Today the economy mixes farming with tourism and small-scale crafts and services, and the village retains a strong sense of local identity through traditional events and community activity.
