The parish of Sennen sits on the far-westerly tip of the Penwith peninsula in west Cornwall, England, facing the full force of the Atlantic. Its dramatic granite cliffs and the wide sandy beach at Sennen Cove give the area a windswept, open character and make it a magnet for surfers, coastal walkers and wildlife watchers; it also sits close to the famous headland of Land's End.
Historically a small fishing and farming community with plenty of smuggling and shipwreck stories, the local economy is now largely supported by tourism, surfing and the RNLI lifeboat presence at Sennen Cove. The village retains a tight-knit resident community and traditional Cornish feel, with a medieval parish church, seasonal events, pubs and cafes that reflect the area's maritime heritage.
