Veryan is a compact, rural coastal parish on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall, perched between the creeks and coves of the Fal area and the wider English Channel, roughly south-east of Truro and east of Falmouth. The landscape mixes rolling farmland, sheltered inlets and dramatic clifftops, much of it lying within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and crossed by sections of the South West Coast Path.
Its village is noted for a handful of distinctive round cottages and a historic parish church, and the local economy leans on agriculture, small-scale fishing and tourism - walkers, boaters and summer visitors make up an important part of village life. Socially it feels like a close-knit community with seasonal events and a strong maritime character that reflects the peninsula’s long coastal history.
