Wadebridge East & St. Minver sits on the eastern edge of Wadebridge and reaches across the tidal Camel Estuary towards the scattered villages of St Minver and the popular coastal settlements of Rock and nearby Padstow in Cornwall. The ward combines estuarine marsh, rolling farmland and sheltered creeks, making it notable for birdlife, boating and easy access to beaches on this stretch of North Cornwall.
Locally the area has a mix of agriculture, small-scale fishing and a strong tourist economy - holiday lets, cafés and watersports are common - while villages retain traditional pubs, churches and community halls. Historic features such as an old stone bridge and rows of granite cottages give a sense of continuity, and the population swells seasonally as visitors arrive to enjoy sailing, walking and the estuary scenery.
