Glossop

Glossop sits in a steep-sided valley on the edge of the Peak District, in the borough of High Peak in Derbyshire, England. The town sits at the head of the River Etherow and is overlooked by moorland leading up to Kinder Scout and the Longdendale reservoirs, with easy rail and road access into central Manchester via Hadfield, which helps explain its mix of local character and commuter population.

Once a busy 19th‑century cotton‑mill town, Glossop still shows that industrial past in its Victorian terraces and converted mill buildings, particularly around Old Glossop.
