Edenthorpe is a village and civil parish just to the east of Doncaster in the metropolitan borough of Doncaster, South Yorkshire. It sits close to the floodplain of the River Don and occupies a transition between suburban streets and semi-rural greenbelt, with parks, allotments and tree-lined residential roads giving it a relatively leafy character.
Originally agricultural, the settlement expanded through Victorian and interwar housing development and today is largely residential with local shops, primary schools, a community centre and active sports clubs. Many residents commute into Doncaster or nearby industrial and transport hubs, but the parish retains a strong community feel with regular local events and attractive riverside and countryside walks close at hand.
