Pitsea North West is a suburban ward on the edge of Basildon in Essex, England. It grew up with the post‑war expansion of Basildon and combines a mix of council and private housing with pockets of green space and local shops, while remaining well linked by rail and road for commuters to London and the Thames Estuary.
There’s a strong neighbourhood feel centred on schools, sports clubs and community centres, and the area’s character is still shaped by New Town‑era planning and later regeneration projects. Economically it leans on local retail and light industry alongside commuter incomes, and ongoing investment has aimed to improve public spaces and housing to meet changing local needs.
