Weeley is a small village and civil parish in the district of Tendring, in the county of Essex, in eastern England. It sits a few miles inland from the Essex coast between Clacton-on-Sea and Colchester, combining agricultural surroundings with a largely residential character and many residents commuting to nearby towns.
The village is best known for hosting the 1971 Weeley Festival, a large rock gathering that briefly put it on the national map; its parish church of St Andrew dates back several centuries. Local life centres on a village hall, school and a handful of pubs and shops, and good road links make it convenient for coastal visits while retaining a quiet, community-focused feel.
