Little Rissington is a small parish in the south of Gloucestershire, England, set on the rolling limestone downland of the Cotswold Hills. The village is characterised by honey‑coloured Cotswold stone cottages and farm buildings clustered around a church and green, with wide views over arable fields and to nearby settlements such as Great Rissington and the market towns of Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold.
The area has an interesting mix of rural farming economy and aviation heritage thanks to the large former RAF airfield at Little Rissington, opened before the Second World War and since used for flying, gliding and occasional events alongside MOD activity. Socially it remains a small, close‑knit community that benefits from Cotswold tourism while retaining local traditions and village life.
