Hale is a small, largely rural parish on the fringe of the Borough of Halton in Cheshire, England. Set among farmland, hedgerows and winding lanes, it sits between the urban centres of Runcorn and Warrington and close to the low-lying floodplain of the River Mersey, giving the area a blend of pastoral character and easy access to nearby towns.
Historically agricultural, the parish retains a number of historic farmhouses and small village features and attracts interest from conservation-minded visitors and residents; economically many people still work the land while others commute to industry and services in neighbouring Widnes and Runcorn. Socially it’s a quiet, close-knit community with occasional local events and a strong sense of local identity rooted in its rural heritage.
