Sherborne St. John is a village and civil parish in the district of Basingstoke and Deane, in Hampshire, England, lying a few miles south of Basingstoke. Set in rolling Hampshire countryside close to the valley of the River Loddon and small pockets of estate parkland, it retains a picturesque mix of brick and thatch cottages and a conservation area that reflects its long rural history.
Historically connected with local country estates, the village today is largely residential with a strong community feel: a primary school, village hall, churches and sports and social clubs help sustain regular fetes and events. Many residents commute to Basingstoke and further afield, while agriculture and small local businesses still contribute to the character and economy of the parish.
