Farnborough is a town in the borough of Rushmoor, Hampshire, England best known for its long aviation heritage. The site of the former Royal Aircraft Establishment and home to Farnborough Airport, it hosts the internationally famous Farnborough Airshow and supports a cluster of aerospace and defence businesses, research facilities and corporate parks.
Today it's a busy suburban and commuter centre with convenient rail links into London and a mix of Victorian streets, newer residential neighbourhoods and green spaces such as Farnborough Park and St Michael's Abbey (which holds the tomb of Napoleon III). The town balances industry and community life, with theatres, schools and local events reflecting a diverse, economically active population.
