Sherfield on Loddon is a village and civil parish in Basingstoke and Deane, Hampshire, England, lying on the banks of the River Loddon between Basingstoke and Reading. The settlement has medieval roots visible in its parish church and scattered manor houses, and the surrounding river meadows and woodland make it notable for local wildlife and pleasant riverside walks.
Today it combines a rural, agricultural character with a commuter role for nearby towns, supported by a village hall, pub and small businesses and active community groups. The modern housing area Sherfield Park, which became a separate parish in 2016, has changed the social and administrative footprint of the locality while the village retains a strong local identity and annual community events.
