Bedhampton is an eastern ward of the borough of Havant in Hampshire, lying just inland from Langstone Harbour and forming part of the suburban ribbon between Havant and Portsmouth. It is largely residential, with a mix of private and council housing, local shops, schools and a railway station providing regular services to nearby centres, so many residents commute into the wider South Hampshire conurbation.
Once a small village, Bedhampton expanded through 20th‑century housing growth but still shows hints of its past in older buildings and nearby green spaces such as Bedhampton Down and Havant Thicket. The ward combines everyday community activity with easy access to coastal and countryside recreation, including walks towards Hayling Island and the South Downs, which helps give it a fairly mixed but settled social character.
