Waterloo is an inner-urban ward within the borough of Havant in Hampshire, England, sitting close to the town centre and within easy reach of Portsmouth and the coastal lanes around Langstone Harbour. It is largely residential, with a mix of Victorian terraces, post‑war council housing and small pockets of newer development, served by local shops, parks and schools and benefitting from good road and rail links for commuters.
Historically the neighbourhood expanded as Havant grew in the 19th and 20th centuries, and today it has a mixed socio‑economic character with active community groups and parish amenities. The local economy is mainly retail and service‑based, while many residents commute to nearby naval, port and commercial employers, and the ward’s proximity to the historic town centre and coastal recreational areas gives it a practical, community‑orientated feel.
