Amport is a small, largely rural parish in Test Valley, Hampshire, England, situated a few miles south of Andover on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain. The surrounding landscape is typical chalk downland and parkland, with farmland, hedgerows and pockets of ancient woodland giving a strong sense of place.
The village retains a historic core of cottages and a parish church and is dominated visually by the estate of Amport House. It is perhaps best known for the Hawk Conservancy Trust, an internationally regarded birds‑of‑prey centre that brings visitors and supports local tourism; otherwise the local economy is driven by agriculture, small businesses and services in nearby Andover, while village life centres on the pub, village hall and community events.
