Penton Mewsey and Penton Grafton are two small, closely linked villages in the northern part of Test Valley in Hampshire, lying just north of Andover and close to the Wiltshire border. Often called "the Pentons", they sit on the fringe of the rolling chalk landscape of the North Wessex Downs and feature the tidy stone and brick cottages, parish churches and farmland typical of the area.
Both villages have medieval roots and a largely rural economy - agriculture, equestrian activity and a number of small local businesses - while many residents commute to nearby towns. The communities are active locally, with village halls, occasional events and countryside walks; proximity to the River Test and quiet lanes makes the Pentons popular with walkers and people seeking a traditional Hampshire village lifestyle.
