Bishop's Sutton is a small village and civil parish a few miles north‑east of Winchester in Hampshire, England. It lies in the valley of the River Itchen, a classic Hampshire chalk stream with water meadows, and sits close to the eastern edge of the South Downs, making it a pleasant base for walkers and anglers.
The name reflects historic ownership by the bishops of Winchester and the village has medieval roots centred on its parish church, while much of the settlement retains a rural character of cottages, farmland and meadows. Today it combines agriculture with a largely residential, commuter population; community life is focussed on the church, village hall and local clubs, and village events and the cricket green help maintain a strong local identity.
