Bramdean is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Winchester, in Hampshire, England. Set among the rolling chalk downland that characterises much of the county, it retains a compact, historic centre of cottages and farmsteads and sits within easy reach of country walking and the wider landscape of the South Downs.
The village has a long agricultural heritage and today combines farming with a largely residential community whose residents often commute to nearby towns. Local life is centred on village institutions such as the parish church, village hall and pub, and there are several listed buildings and estate houses that reflect the area's history; community events and countryside pursuits remain important to its social character.
