The Upper Meon Valley is a largely rural ward in the district of Winchester, Hampshire, England, centred on a string of small villages such as East Meon, Meonstoke, Corhampton and Exton. The landscape is classic chalk downland shaped by the River Meon, a notable chalk stream prized for its wildlife and fly-fishing, and much of the area sits close to or within the South Downs National Park, with rolling hills, lanes and hedgerows popular with walkers and cyclists.
The ward has a strong sense of village community, with active village halls, pubs and annual fêtes, while agriculture remains important alongside small local businesses and a degree of commuting to Winchester. Historic interest is visible in ancient churches such as Corhampton's Saxon-era features and the remnants of the old Meon Valley Railway, now used in parts as the Meon Valley Trail for recreation and nature conservation projects that help protect the valley’s distinctive ecology.
