Colwall Stone is a distinctive rocky outcrop on the eastern flank of the Malvern Hills near the village of Colwall in Herefordshire, England. It is part of the ancient Precambrian ridge and gives dramatic exposures of hard igneous and metamorphic rock, with fine views across the Severn Vale towards the Welsh hills; the area sits within the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Locally it is prized by walkers, photographers and occasional scramblers and contributes to the modest tourism that supports village amenities; the nearby rail link at Colwall makes it an easy day trip. The ridge has long human associations, with the Iron Age hillfort at British Camp close by, and the surrounding countryside still dominated by orchards and small-scale rural enterprises that reflect the social and economic character of the area.
