Ash is a small village in the district of Dover, in the county of Kent in south‑east England. It sits in a largely rural, agricultural landscape not far from the coast and the historic Cinque Ports area, with the medieval town of Sandwich and the busy port at Dover within easy reach.
The village retains a traditional feel - older cottages, a parish church and community facilities - and its local economy is still shaped by farming alongside a number of residents who commute to nearby towns. Its location close to the North Downs and coastal marshes, and to well‑known golf links and maritime heritage in the area, gives Ash a quiet, countryside appeal with easy access to regional attractions.
