Wingham is a compact village and civil parish in the Dover district of Kent, England, a few miles north‑east of Canterbury. Set amid rolling Kentish farmland, it retains a historic core of timber‑framed houses and a parish church that hint at its long-standing rural origins and former role as a small market settlement.
Locally the village is best known for Wingham Wildlife Park, a small zoo and visitor attraction that brings extra footfall from around the county. The local economy remains largely agricultural with a mix of small businesses and commuters who travel to Canterbury or Dover, and community life centres on the village hall, primary school and a couple of traditional pubs that keep the social scene active.
